my son and dil are still looking for a new home for their other dog. i’ve had alfie a month now. it’s not too bad but i’m looking forward to getting back to normal.

I still have to write xmas cards to my son and dil, my dil’s immediate family and a couple of neighbours but i’ve written and posted the rest.

I haven’t put my xmas tree up yet. a friend said she and her mum have drinks after they’ve put theirs up. i don’t really drink but i might push the boat out and have a shandy afterwards lol.

i had coffee with a friend i haven’t seen for two years on wednesday. i first met her twenty years ago when we both lived in coventry. she lives in suffolk now but was in the midlands for a conference so we met up before she got her train home. it was really nice to see her.

my son has been in wales for the past couple of days helping to select fire fighters to go on an artic expedition.

my son and dil have booked a 4D video scan of their baby for the new year. i cant wait to see it.

my dil is having her baby shower in february. i’ve never been to a baby shower before. it should be fun. i already have a present for the baby. a baby fire fighter outfit and a baby soldier outfit.

are you a dog lover? are you ready for xmas? what’s the longest time you’ve gone without seeing a friend?
